What this is
Fantasy Bake Off is a private picks game for a group of friends watching The Great British Bake Off. Only people the organizer has invited can sign in.
What we store
- Your email address, which is how you're invited and how you sign in.
- If you sign in with Google: your name and profile picture from your Google account. We only ask Google for your basic profile and email, nothing else.
- The display name and team name you choose.
- Your weekly and finale picks, and the points they earn.
- Sign-in sessions, so you stay signed in, and single-use sign-in links, which expire after 24 hours.
Who can see it
Other players in your season see your display name, team name, scores, and your picks once that week's picks have locked. Your email address is visible only to the organizers. We don't sell or share your information, show ads, or use analytics or tracking.
Services we use
The app runs on Vercel (hosting), stores data with Neon (database), and sends sign-in emails through Resend. Google handles “Continue with Google” sign-in. Each processes data only to provide that service.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in, plus the short-lived cookies the sign-in process needs. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Keeping and deleting your data
Picks and scores are kept so past seasons stay viewable. To have your account and data removed, ask the organizer who invited you.
